Northwestern Health Unit Analyzes Low Income Lifestyles

The Northwestern Health Unit is highlighting the problems of people on low income.

The Unit is mentioning the fact that many families choose between eating healthy food and paying rent.

Public Health Nutritionist Julie Slack mentions the rising cost of food saying it costs the average family of four around $1060 a month.

Slack goes on to say minimum wage and social assistance rates should be raised to match the inflation in food costs.
