Norwossa Finals Split

The Dryden Eagles girls will live to fight another day after scoring a 3-1 win in Kenora while the boys season has come to an end after a 3-2 double overtime loss to Fort Fances at home. In boys play the Dryden Eagles scored 2 goals in the third to tie the game but could not hold off the Muskies in the 2 extra frame to bow out of the boys championship in 2 straight games. Shawn Degagne and Matt Bartlett scored for Dryden in the loss. In girls action it will come down to a winner take all on Tuesday night after the Eagles scored 3 third period goals to even their best of three series at 1. Megan Pinette scored twice including an empty net goal while Jonna Dale was the first to solve the Kenora goalie who had shut the Dryden out for 5 periods. Mellisa Calder made 31 saves for the Eagles. Game 3 is Tuesday night in Dryden and CKDR will have the call.
