The storm that hit Dryden just after midnight had many City of Dryden Services busy, with emergency services answering numerous calls from the public.
Crews were called out to deal with downed power lines and trees burning.
Public Works and Hydro One crews were in all parts of Dryden cutting trees off streets and yards and work continues.
Some structural damage was noted in North Dryden with a roof off a modular home and a metal shed blown across a lane-way.
Trees on a power line in the back lane off Casimir Avenue at 3:30 this morning sparked and firefighters were forced away while the trees burned.
A power surge caused the activation of the City emergency siren to sound for several minutes.
