Last week, Provincial Police were notified about a collision on Highway 72, which involved an off-duty OPP officer’s vehicle.
Officers found the other vehicle and arrested the man for impaired driving and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
Police say along with those two charges, 39-year-old Tommy Trout was also issued offence notices for failing to properly wear a seatbelt, driving with an open liquor bottle and driving while under suspension.
He is expected to make his first court appearance on November 20.
