NTAB Addressing Employment Needs

Local employment needs is the focus of an upcoming report from the Northwest Training and Adjustment Board.
The board is holding consultations across the district.
Executive Director Sonja Wainio says they are focusing mostly on the demand side.
Wainio says they always hear that people can’t get jobs, but there are employers that can’t find people to work for them.
She adds with mining drawing more workers, other sectors, such as the service industry, could be facing shortages.
The Board will be submitting its final report to the government next month.
