Nuttall Talks New OPP Billing Model

Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall is weighing in on the new OPP Billing Model.
Nuttall says some of the municipalities OPP costing is going up and some are going down.
He thinks the OPP costing is still not in the ballpark where a municipality is going to save a ton of money.
He says he doesn’t think the new model would save Dryden any money because the OPP would still charge a flat fee and a service call from what he understands.
Nuttall says he is very happy with Dryden Police Chief Rob Davis, saying he has cut the budget down by at least $800,000.
He adds the city met the Solicitor General of Ontario about the city’s police and the Solicitor General says he sees Dryden is doing good with the force that they have.
