The Northwestern Health Unit is having a hard time
filling its audiologist position in Kenora.
Currently anyone who wants a hearing test needs to
travel to Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Fort Frances or Dryden.
Director of Family Services Karen Essery says they’re
not the only ones who want to fill the vacancy.

The position has been vacant since November of 2007, the
health unit has received a couple of applications from
audiologists from the Philappines and India.
