The President of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization has wrapped up a tour of Ignace.
The community is one of five in the hunt for an underground repository and Laurie Swami was in the area Tuesday for consultations with residents and students.
Swami says they are still in the learning process, stressing it’s important to meet in-person with everyone involved.
Swami says everyone in Ignace has been very open and engaging and she appreciates their input.
She met with business people and Mayor Lee Kennard.
