The Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service is being honoured by the Canadian Military.
It’s been recognized for allowing one of its own, Nathan Cousineau, to take time from his employment to serve as a reservist with the military.
Cosuineau says army reserve is a part time job, so being able to come home and have employment with the service and have the support when he goes away makes the difference.
Captain Jon Baker, Commander of 116 Independent Field Battery, says they really appreciate the support they have received from the Fort Frances Fire Service for letting Cosuineau get away, adding that he has been an important part of their unit.
The Service was nominated for the Award of Excellence by Cousineau.
