The tourism sector is already having problems keeping their industry afloat, and now with the sale of the International Bridge on the horizon, a new problem could arise.
Northwestern Ontario Tourism Association president Tom Pearson says if a private investor buys the bridge, there’s no limit to what the tolls could be.

Pearson added Ontario and Minnesota could share the bridge like they do in Rainy River and Baudette, where the tolls could be charged until the structure is paid for, then drop the fees which would be a big boost for tourism.
