Police say they suspect foul play in connection to the death of a 45 year old resident of the Whitedog First Nation northwest of Kenora.
Treaty Three Police say they were called to a home early New Years morning in response to a disturbance.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had obvious signs of blunt force trauma.
The deceased was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora where an autopsy is scheduled to take place today.
The O.P.P.’s Criminal Investigations Branch and Forensic Identification Unit are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the fatality.
