CCAC MERGER IN NORTHWEST

There’s been a change in the health care landscape in northwestern Ontario.

As of yesterday, the Kenora and Rainy River Community Care Access Center has been merged with Thunder Bay.

Tuija Puiras (Too-ee-ha Pure-as) is the executive director of the new C.C.A.C. and says local clients shouldn’t notice any change in the home care service they receive.

N005 Q: …the difference. (19 secs.)

The new community care access center now covers an area all the way from the Manitoba border to Manitouadge.

Puiras says the merger of the two C.C.A.C.’s should not result in any significant job losses.
