The Kenora and Rainy River Community Care Access Center is no more as of January 1st.
The home care service provider has been Merged with Thunder Bay to create the North West Community Care Access Center.
The executive director of the new C.C.A.C., Tuija Puiras
(Too-ee’ha Pure’as) says local home care clients should notice little change in the service they receive.

Puiras says the merger has been in the works for the past
four or five months, but will have little impact on home care jobs in the region.
The new C.C.A.C. covers an area all the way from Kenora to Manitouadge.
