Dorothy Elizabeth Wright

June 27, 1936 – September 9, 2023

Dorothy passed away on Saturday September 9, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born and raised in Dinorwic. Her and her husband Lloyd met at McKenzie’s Tourist Camp in Eagle River. They shared 66 years of marriage! Mom was so proud of her family, and they were her world. Her face would always light up whenever they would come to visit. Dorothy and Lloyd travelled to many places. They shared many happy memories at the cabin on Eagle Lake.

Mom is survived by her husband, Lloyd Wright, children Linda (Keith) Hunkin, Laura Rikheim, Lesley Wright and Donna (Jim) Hannett, grandchildren Kevin (Meagan), Derek (Jessie), Bret, Heather, Melanie (Andrew), and Tim, great-grandchildren Deontaye, Jaylee, Damon, Lily, and Paisley, brother Fred (Penny) Paesel, sisters Heddy Jacobson, and Lily Lowing, and lifelong friend Paddie Doudiet. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart.

Dorothy is predeceased by her parents Gus and Lillian Paesel as well as her beloved grand-daughter Chantelle.

We thank all the exceptional nurses and doctors at the Dryden Regional Health Centre for their excellent care and compassion over the past few months.

As per the families wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
