Candace Fielder

Candace Fielder

September 16, 1959 – October 3, 2025

With heavy hearts, the family of Candace Fielder announces her peaceful passing.

Candace was the beloved wife of Craig Fielder and devoted mother to Eryn (Sheldon) Cade, Leigha (Jason) Wyse, and Lyndsay (Alex) Kruger. She was a cherished Nana to Khloe, Harlow, Dexter, Palmer, and Charlotte, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

Candace is survived by her father, Ed Swanson, her brother Daniel Swanson, and her niece Nikki Zajarny, as well as her loyal dog, Bear. She will be fondly remembered by numerous cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She is predeceased by her loving mother Joyce Swanson, sister Debra Swanson, parents-in-law Francis and Bill Fielder, and sister-in-law Susan (Al) Siska.

Candace lived a life filled with creativity, warmth, and quiet strength. She had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in camping, painting, reading, and playing cards. Her deep affection for animals—especially dogs—was a defining part of her kind and nurturing spirit.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Barrie and the nursing staff  (“Her Angels”) at the Dryden Hospital for their compassionate care and support during Candace’s final days.

As per Candace’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to spend time with your loved ones, take a walk in nature, or lend a kind hand to someone in need—just as Candace so often did. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Second Chance Pet Network, Box 343, Dryden, ON P8N 2Z1 or via Aurora Funeral Services.
