Carol Irene Kondra

In Loving Memory of Carol Irene Kondra

April 3, 1951 – April 11, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Irene Kondra, who lost her courageous battle with cancer just days after celebrating her 75th birthday.

Carol spent her final days surrounded by the love of her family and dear friends—a true reflection of the deep connections she built throughout her life. She faced her illness with the same strength, dignity, and resilience that defined her every day.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Jillian, her son-in-law Alex, and her four cherished grandsons—Sebastian, Lincoln, Hunter, and Memphis. She is also deeply missed by her brothers Jacob (Barbara) and Wilfred; her nieces Kaydi (Ty), Jessica (Phil), and Alexis; her great-nieces Scarlett, Lainey, and Millie; her nephews Timothy (Marianne) and Christian (Kendra); and her great-nephews Dominic, Easton, Andon, and Kenseth.

She is predeceased by her Mother, Exilda Kondra and Father Alex Kondra.

Carol was a fiercely independent woman with a deep love for the outdoors. Whether she was out fishing—often outmatching everyone else in the boat—or spending time in Willie’s ice shack, she was happiest in nature. She had a special connection with animals, especially horses, and found great joy in caring for them, as well as in the quiet companionship of her cats. She truly appreciated life’s simple, meaningful moments.

Her strong spirit and hands-on nature were evident in everything she did. Carol dedicated many hardworking years to Naden Boats, where she not only built a career but also formed lasting friendships.

Eagle River was always home to Carol. She was a pillar of the community, generously giving her time to the local seniors club and serving as a caretaker at the community centre. Her kindness, reliability, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Carol’s legacy is one of strength, independence, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

As per Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
