Dewayne Dustin

June 11, 1952 – November 2, 2025

Sadly, with heavy hearts, the family of Dewayne Herbert Dustin announce his passing, surrounded by family, on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the age of 73, at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.

Dewayne was born in Fort Frances on June 11, 1952, to the late Herbert and Elsie Dustin. He was raised in Fort Frances, where he met and married Jean Vivian Odahl on October 30, 1970. On September 17, 1976, they welcomed their son Jeffrey into the world.

Dewayne was a carpenter by trade and a proud member of the Union for 25 years. He helped build various homes and businesses in the Dryden area, and was always willing to lend a hand. He had a love for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

Dewayne was predeceased by his wife Jean (March 29, 2018), his parents Herbert and Elsie (Arnold) Dustin, in-laws Oscar and Stella (Crawley) Odahl, sister Judith Chabot and brother John Dustin.

He is survived by his son Jeff and his wife Johanne, and their children Cameron, Cassandra, Chantelle, and Melissa, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Rhonda and Murray DeGagne, and sister-in-law Roxann Dustin.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
