Eileen Muriel Coe

December 1, 1926 – March 3, 2020

In loving memory of Eileen Muriel Coe who passed away on March 3, 2020 at Princess Court in Dryden.

Eileen Muriel Coe was born on December 1, 1926, in Fort William to Rose and Frank Haines.

Eileen is survived by daughter in law Heather Schaefer, grandchildren John, Tanner, Michelle and Ashley, and great grandchildren Ryder, Destinee, and Alexis, sister Joyce Gartrell and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husbands Ed Schaefer (1968), and Bill Coe (2006) and son Bill Schaefer (2018).

Eileen joined the Women’s Army Core (WACS) at 18. In the late 1950’s she moved to Dryden with her husband Ed where she worked for the MNR until her retirement. After which she would spend 6 months of the winter each year in Mesa, Arizona.

Eileen enjoyed singing, baking, bridge, golf and curling as well as taking part in church and community activities.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Our Savior Lutheran church on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Alex Timm officiating.
