Jennifer Ann Pinette

Jennifer Ann Pinette (nee Sikora)
February 10th, 1945 to October 1st, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jenny (Wife, Mother, Sister, Granny, Great Granny and Friend), a beacon of selflessness and love, after a short battle with cancer. She touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her with her kind heart and unwavering devotion to others.

Jenny is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Lucien (Lou) Pinette, her son Darren (partner Alan), daughter Michelle (husband Lorne), grandson Cody (partner Taylor) with great grand-daughter Kinsley Anne Taylor, granddaughter Chelsea (partner Ryan) with great grand-daughter Rylan and great grandson Cohen, and by her brothers Mike, Jerry (wife Angie), sister Lynne and their families. Jenny was predeceased by her son Darryl, as well as her parents.

She will be fondly remembered by all family for her love of angels, fishing, baking, cooking huge family dinners and always welcoming everyone with open arms.

Jenny’s legacy is one of boundless compassion and generosity. Her selfless ways were a guiding light for us all, teaching us the true meaning of love and service. Whether it was a comforting word, a warm meal, or a listening ear, she was always there with open arms and a gentle smile.

Her nurturing spirit extended beyond family, reaching out to the wider community. She was a pillar of support, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her acts of kindness were countless, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
Jenny cherished every moment and taught us to appreciate the beauty in the simplest of things.

In her final days, Jenny wanted to ensure we expressed her extreme appreciation and gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses who treated her so well and to all the friends of her special program which she believed saved her life long ago.
One of her final writings was “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours”.

As we bid farewell to our dear Jenny, we hold onto the lessons she imparted. May her legacy of selflessness and love continue to inspire us all. She will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding Angel in our lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to DRHC Oncology, PO Box 3003, Dryden, ON, P8N 2Z6 or the Tamarack House, 984 Oliver Rd, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 7C7, in honor of Jenny’s lifelong commitment to helping others.

A memorial service will be held on October 20th at 1pm at the Dryden Community Funeral Home. All who were touched by Jenny’s warmth and love are invited to join us in celebrating her life.
