Jennifer Lynn Dickson
Oct. 2, 1969 – May 25, 2026
Jennifer was born October 2 1969; she’s the last child of Joseph & Josephine Dickson. Her life started in Umfreville, last house in the village, there was lots of space to run about, trees to hide in and a pathway that took us as kids to a small brook that ran into a lake, we called it the Culvert, there we swam, got drinking water and watched her mom do laundry.
Jen loved her family very much, each of us held a special place in her heart. She had a way of making us feel loved with very few or even no words.
Jennifer worked at Keewatin Aski Ltd. for 18 years, as quietly as she was when she started, she soon became the ‘Go To Girl Extraordinaire’, she was well respected and appreciated for her professionalism and consideration by her colleagues and clients, Jennifer enjoyed several outings with her co-workers and was always there to lend a helping hand to get thing started and going, her co-worker told me ‘there’s no sneaking past her without checking in or out’.
Her son Matthew was her greatest blessing, the day he was born he captivated her heart. She was proud of the person he has become and of his achievements. Her love will always be alive in him in the way he smiles, his actions and the things he says.
Jennifer loved chocolate, tea, sunflowers, mystery books, and she thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in, staying in her pj’s, and most of all Friday’s. We cannot forget her beloved dog Sara who was very much an important part of her life
All in all I think Jennifer had it all right on cue, RELAX, LOVE, LIVE AND ENJOY, I feel this is the way she lived and how she’d want us to carry on and to remember her by with a twist of ‘ BE THE KIND OF PERSON THAT WON’T TELL YOU ANYTHING, UNTIL YOU ASK!’
Thank you for the memories, laughter, and love. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
