Lonnie Tourond
January 14, 1955 – April 17, 2025
Lonnie Tourond, cherished by all who knew him, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, in Ottawa, Ontario, with his beloved family by his side. At the age of 70, he leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered.
Born on January 14, 1955, Lonnie was a devoted father to his children Tracy, Bonnie, and Chad (Katie), and a proud grandfather (Papa) to his precious granddaughter Kallie. He was a loving brother to Claudette (Gene), Garry (Elynne), Gordon (Lois), Della (Richard), Mark (Angela), Larry (Lesley) and Stanley (Krista), and a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He is now reunited with those who went before him: his father, Noel Tourond, his mother, Rose Tourond (Trudeau), and his beloved wife, Theresa Tourond (Landry). Lonnie’s remarkable life was defined by his unwavering love for his family and the countless lives he touched with his compassion and warmth.
A Come & Go for Lonnie will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at The Lions Hall in Vermilion Bay, ON, between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes later.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that people dedicate some time and spend it with family and friends.
