Lorraine Matchett (nee Warren)
Born: April 2, 1957 – Died: September 24, 2025

Lorraine Matchett (endearingly referred to as ‘Turtle’ by some of the Princess Court Staff) died peacefully on September 24, 2025 after a battle with cancer.

An avid Yahtzee player and dissectologist, she also served as president of the Resident’s Council at Princess Court for 6 years. Her other hobbies were bingo and Wheel of Fortune (which she loved to watch with her special friend Ernie).

Lorraine is survived by her daughter Amanda (Dave), as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She’s survived by her sisters Wanetta (Steve), Sheila (Steve), Penny, Della (Todd), Eileen (Brian) and brother Ray (Colette). She also leaves behind 87 jigsaw puzzles that she glued together and which now cannot be put back in their boxes.

Many thanks go to the staff at Princess Court who did so much for her over the last 10 years.

There will be no service and cremation has taken place. But to honour her memory and spunky character, you can toast her with a beer.
