O’Brien-strike vote-numbers

Members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union have voted 65 percent against a final contract offer issued by the provincial government.

In the northwest, the numbers were slightly higher, with 75 percent of the membership voting against the three year deal.

Regional vice-president of the union, John O’Brien says the contract is about repairing the public service in Ontario.

N004 Q: …CONCESSION BARGAINING. (19 SECS.)

O’Brien stresses that there has not been any talk yet about another public service strike.
