Off-Duty OPP Officer Charged

An 8-year member of the Ontario Provincial Police in Schreiber has been charged following an investigation by the OPP Professional Standards Bureau.
The probe was initiated December 29th, when Thunder Bay Police notified the PSB about incidents involving the accused in Thunder Bay.
The investigation revealed that the accused had made false statements against a victim and that he had illegally intercepted a private conversation.
Police say 41-year-old Constable Gregory Sutton faces 2-counts of public mischief and 1-count of intercepting private communications.
Sutton was off duty at the time of the incidents and is currently suspended.
