The Dryden Ice Dogs couldn’t get the job done as they fell 6-3 to the Fort Frances Lakers in game 5 of their SIJHL semifinal in Fort Friday night. The Lakers specials teams were the key scoring 3 times on the power play and 2 short handed markers. Len Pelletier, Thomas Green and Ben McClellan each scored for Dryden while Ian Perrier allowed 5 goals with the Lakers adding an empty netter. Dryden now leads the series 3 games to 2 with game 6 in Dryden Monday night at 7:30 p.m. In Thunder Bay the Wisconsin Wilderness ousted the defending SIJHL champions in four games straight winning 4-3 Friday night. The Wilderness swept the Thunder Bay North Stars 4 straight to advance to the finals.
