OFIA Not Pleased With Amalgamation

The Ontario Forest Industry Association feels the new Ministry of Forestry doesn’t have the power to help the ailing industry.
Scott Jackson is the Manager of Forest Policy and says the McGuinty Government’s decision leaves Minister Michael Gravelle without any tools in his tool box.
The legislative control over the forest sector is split between the Ministry of Natural Resources and the newly amalgamated Northern Development, Mines and Forestry.
Jackson says he hopes Gravelle can prove his organization wrong and can turn the ailing industry around.
