OMA And Government Reach Binding Arbitration Deal

A first step towards a possible new contract for Ontario doctors.

The Wynne government and the Ontario Medical Association have reached a tentative deal concerning binding arbitration, or the ability to involve a third party to help resolve disputes in contract talks.

The OMA says if its members finalize the agreement, it will be in place for all future negotiations with the province.

Ontario doctors have been without a contract for three years.
