The Ontario Medical Association says it’s pleased with the response of a petition campaign, urging the Liberals to resume contract talks with doctors.
Officials say more than 16,000 people have signed the petition.
It was launched two months ago, in response to a series of funding cuts that impact physician fees.
The cuts were implemented when the Association rejected the province’s last offer in February.
The OMA says the campaign will continue until the Ontario Legislature resumes in the new year.
