OMA Launches A Charter Of Rights Challenge

The Ontario Medical Association is ramping up efforts to secure a new contract for provincial doctors.

A challenge has been launched under the Charter of Rights.

It has asked the courts to strike down the across-the-board fee cuts imposed since the OMA rejected the province’s last offer in February.

The OMA also wants the court to force the need for a binding dispute resolution process to resolve future bargaining disputes.
