The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says a forest fire caused by a blaze to a cottage on Leisure Island on Lake of the Woods is still burning.
Crews responded to the fire by boat Sunday afternoon.
It spread to the surrounding bush and grew to about one acre in size.
The cause of the fire that destroyed the home is still being investigated.
The fire hazard is mainly low to moderate with areas of high hazard in the districts of Kenora and Fort Frances.
