The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting one new COVID positive Thursday.
It comes from the Sioux Lookout region.
There are now 8 active cases in the catchment area.
Four people from the Kenora area and one from the District of Rainy River are currently isolating outside our region.
In addition, one case from the Kenora region is no longer attributed to the Northwestern Health Unit and has been removed from the statistics.
Ontario recorded 531 new cases and 17 COVID related deaths.
