One Person Dead in Highway 17 Crash

One person is dead following a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 17
east of Kenora.
OPP say an eastbound vehicle collided with a westbound tractor trailer
around 11 o’clock last night near East Hawk Lake.
The lone occupant of the eastbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the
scene.
The crash forced the closure of the Trans-Canada for about 8-hours.
Police are investigating and the victim’s name has not been released.
