Additional spending on child care in Ontario.
The province says it will invest close to $200,000 over the next year that will create 24,000 new spaces.
The Minister responsible for Child Care, Indira Naidoo-Harris says its a massive injection into the system.
She says 60% of those new spaces will be subsidized for low-income families.
Naidoo-Harris says their goal is to remove financial barriers and increase affordability for parents.
She adds a new child care framework is also going to be developed that will help identify additional measures to reduce future costs.
