Ontario Finance Minister Calm About Low Canadian Dollar

Ontario’s finance minister says it’s not all bad news, as the Canadian dollar hits another low.

The Loonie is being traded below 69 cents U.S., this morning.

But Charles Sousa tells our newsroom the dropping dollar makes Ontario exports that much more competitive.

He adds the dollar is one of many factors guiding budget-making decisions, but notes the province is still on track to reduce deficits and invest in local programs.
