Ontario Parks Day Saturday

Local residents are encouraged to celebrate Ontario Parks Day.
There will be activities going on at several regional Parks Saturday including Blue Lake, Aaron and Quetico.
MNR Spokesperson Ginette Albert says the annual event carries more importance this year.
The Provincial Government has regulated 17 Northern Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves.
The measure is aimed at protecting the Parks while allowing for traditional recreational activities.
The Brokenmouth River and Gull-Christina Conservation Reserves near Red Lake are among the new protected areas.
