Kathleen Wynne says Ontario is working to get its social services computer system back to business as usual.
An interim report on the new software, which distributes financial aid to people on welfare, acknowledged the system is flawed.
Wynne says the findings don’t come as a surprise, noting the government knows there have been problems and that’s why they commissioned the report. The premier says she understands millions of taxpayer dollars were used to implement the flawed software, but these transitions to improve technology are necessary.
A final report is expected at the end of the month, and to include specific recommendations on how the province should move forward. (File photo)
