Ontario Testing Driverless Cars

The provincial government is making Ontario the first jurisdiction in the country to test automated vehicles on the roads.

It’s part of a pilot project to allow the testing of the driverless vehicles or self driving ones that uses sensors to detect the surrounding environment.

The project will begin in January.

The government says during the testing, a driver will have to be behind the wheel.
