Ontario is going to make it easier and faster in the future for municipalities and individuals impacted by natural disasters to receive financial assistance.
The province is launching a new assistance program next year.
Under the plan, municipalities will have four months rather than two week to assess damages and seek provincial support.
The province is also doing away with a local fundraising component, now needed before for homeowners and businesses could seek financial aid
