You will be able to shop on a Stat Holiday next year in Dryden but only on one of them.
By a 4-3 Council will allow retail businesses to open on Victoria Day as long as the establishment is larger than 2,400 square feet & has more than 4 people working that day.
Councillor Brian Collins fears this is “the thin edge of the wedge” & eventually all stat holidays will be working days for retail staff.
