A safety blitz by provincial police called “Operation Corridor” is now targeting transport drivers.
While Sergeant Shelley Garr indicates truckers were at fault in a number of the 122 crashes in the Northwest, they didn’t cause all the crashes.
Garr notes of the two fatalities they responded to in this region, the truck driver was not responsible.
The safety blitz wraps up Thursday night.
The Ministry of Transportation is assisting in the OPP-led campaign.
