Provincial Police are launching “Operation Dry Water” this long weekend.
Officers will be out on area lakes ensuring no one is drinking and driving.
Sergeant Karen Harrington reminds residents that no one in the boat is allowed to drink alcohol.
Harrington says 40% of boating related deaths have alcohol involved.
She adds you can lose your drivers licence if you are caught with impaired driving on the lake.
