Team Ontario Comes Out On Top For Rowing Events At Canada Summer Games

The rowing events for the Canada Summer Games have officially wrapped up in Kenora.

Hundreds of athletes and spectators came to Kenora to take part in the rowing competition.

The final event was the Men’s Eights where Ontario came out on top with a time of 5 minutes and 53 seconds.

BC and Alberta were close behind with times of 6 minutes and 6 minutes and 7 seconds.

In rowing Ontario sits in first place after winning 7 gold medals, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze.

British Columbia follows closely behind winning 5 gold medals, 8 Silver and 1 Bronze.

Although they sit in third place overall in the games Quebec only won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze throughout the rowing competition.

Alberta was a strong competitor at Rabbit Lake walking away with 3 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals.

3 local Kenora girls competed on the Manitoba team which finished off with 1 gold in rowing and 2 bronze.
