OPG Rates Going Up

Ontario Power Generation is applying to increase its
rates by 9.6% starting next January.
OPG will ask the Ontario Energy Board to approve the rate hike, which the government-owned utility estimates will add about $2.75 to the average monthly electricity bill.
The new rates would remain in effect for two years.
