Placing books in the hands of aboriginal youth in remote Northern
communities is the goal of the Annual Book Drive.
OPP Constable Beth Chevalier says new and used books for children and
teenagers are being accepted until the end of January.
The books will be distributed to aboriginal youth across the Region.
OPP Detachments in Dryden, Ignace, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, Ear Falls, Atikokan and Kenora are accepting the books
during regular business hours.
Chevalier says the drive helps put books in the hands of aboriginal
youth who don’t have access to reading material.
