OPP Conference

OPP detachment commanders and shift supervisors from across Northwestern Ontario gathered in Kenora this week for their annual meeting.
About 70 non-commissioned officers discussed issues regarding the operation of detachment across the region.
Al Dawson is the Superintendant of the Northwest Region and says improving the services provided by the detachments is his number one priority.
Dawson says the meeting gave staff the chance to compare notes.
Meantime, the Dryden OPP Detachment is holding an open house today between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
The open house will feature the OPP mini-car, and the K-9 Unit.
The public can also take guided tours, enjoy a barbeque and view a number of demonstrations and displays.
