It will be a bit of a wait but the City of Dryden will finally hear the OPP Costing proposal.
Council has agreed on a Wednesday, November 28th date and has scheduled a special open meeting.
Chief Administrative Officer Roger Nesbitt says it was difficult to accommodate a Summer presentation but stresses the main reason for the Winter meeting is due to the upcoming Municipal election.
Nesbitt says they want to ensure all new members have a full opportunity to participate in an important decision.
After the OPP proposal is brought forward, Nesbitt says the City has a six month timeframe to conduct a review, complete public consultations and make a decision.
The inaugural meeting of the new Council isn’t scheduled until December 3rd.
