Provincial Police in Red Lake will lace up the skates Thursday night for an important cause.
Officers will face-off against the High School Hockey team, a benefit game to support the Red Lake Emergency Shelter.
Sergeant Kelly Hall-Baranesky is asking fans to bring non-perishable food items.
She says family homelessness is still an issue as it is in many areas, stressing the Shelter has a lot of great people doing a lot of great things for the individuals in the Red Lake area.
Hall-Baranesky is promising an exciting game, noting officers are ready for the challenge.
Game time is 7 o’clock at the Cochenour Arena.
