OPP In Sioux Lookout Experience Busy Weekend

The Ontario Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout are reporting a busy weekend in that community.

Police say they investigated 98 calls for service and of the 77 incidents there were 3 bail violations, 8 assaults, 7 family or domestic disputes, 11 trespassing person incidents, 12 RIDE checks and 17 Liquor License Act offenses.

OPP say one of the assaults involved a 30 year old female from Muskrat Dam First Nation who is charged with assault causing bodily harm, aggravated assault and failing to comply with her undertaking.

Police say she will appear in Sioux Lookout court on February 9th. OPP then say a 19-year-old Thunder Bay man was charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and is scheduled to appear in Sioux Lookout court on February 20th.
