The OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit has located the bodies of two swimmers who drowned near McLeod Park in Kenora Thursday afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as 19 year old Arwinder Brar and 20 year old Pawan Preet Brar from Winnipeg.
Police and emergency service personnel were initially called out Thursday afternoon around 1:30 about two swimmers in distress.
Search efforts at the time were unable to locate the men.
OPP divers began their search Friday afternoon and their bodies were finally recovered that evening.
