Provincial Police in our area are out with some tips as more and more people are now using their all-terrain and off-road vehicles.
Police stress it’s illegal to drink and drive and operating an ATV while drunk carries the same punishment as if you were driving a car or truck.
OPP note alcohol use continues to be a factor in fatal crashes.
Police say drivers must be 12 years-old or older and if you are on a roadway the driver must be 16 years-old and hold a G2 license.
Other rules to keep in mind are helmets must be worn at all times, and drivers should move in the same direction of traffic.
